I am in the process of setting up my 12g nano right now. It has 1x24w 50/50 compact in it now. I know I will probably need to upgrade my lighting to house any coral but I need to know how much light is required.
I want to keep xenia, shrooms, zoos and other soft corals. What do I need to grow these effectively? I can get a 1x24w 50/50compact retro fit for about $40 and I believe I could do this mod (have never done light mods) because it looks easy enough and I think there will be plenty of room in the hood for it. However I need to know if I will need to upgrade to a MH to do these or other beginner coral or will I be ok with 2x24 50/50 compacts?
