New to Nano I am looking for pointers..

Got a Nano Cube 12g @ a yard sale this weekend ($5.00). I know it is just a basic but being new to nano I thought for the price it would be a good start.
It has a 24w light and the stock pump (106gph)
I am going to get new light because I have no idea how old this one is. I am thinking about getting a new pump, this one works but I think I should upgrade.
I am taking live sand and rock from my other tanks.
Ok here is the questions.
What to put in the chambers?
Should I upgrade the pump?
Stocking list????
All suggestions are welcome!

$5? Wow nice, is it in good condition?
I'd upgrade to the Maxi-Jet 900, nice bang for your buck there...
In the chambers I'd do a skimmer if u want to buy one since you saved so much money on the tank get a decent one for $50-70 bucks..
Or if you really wanna go nuts get a DIY light and put a mini chaeto refugium back there (I'm thinkin of doing it now to my 24)
P.S you said South Florida, anywhere near the Miami-Dade/Broward area?

It is in perfect condition she said she only used a few months just couldnt get the hang of it.
I see alot of upgrades to the MaxiJet 900 so I think I will def do that one.
I am thinking about doin chaeto and Marina Micro L.E.D. in one of the chambers. Later on I may do a refuguim on the back, I have to take it a little slow my family cant believe I came home with another fish tank. (Currently have a 150 & 90 & 15 all Live rock and fish only)
I am in Palm Beach County. Lantana..I love the Big Als down there in Broward but that is a road trip for me.

Hydor Koralia Nano or #1 ???
Not sure if the #1 @ 400 gph is too much
Maxi-Jet 900.

Def a Koralia Nano in my opinion.
I tried a #1 in my 24g and I felt like it was too much I downgraded to a Nano....
For your tank def MJ-900 + Nano you can't go wrong with that combo!!!!.

For reference in my Biocube 14 I have a maxijet 900 and koralia 1. Good flow everywhere in the tank, fish have no problem swimming, I think it would be the same in your tank.
