New to nano...Questions

I'm setting up a 14gal nano in my office (took the 46 home after the heat induced crash) and I want to just have corals and a few inverts. Will the inverts be able to get enough nutrients without specifically feeding them? With just inverts ( fire shrimp, hermits, snails) and corals will I need a skimmer? The tank has cycled and I have two mushrooms and a VERY small colony of zoos with two sprigs of codium (aka dead man's finger). I plan on using it as a kind of frag tank/underwater flower garden.
The a/c problem is fixed (two new units) so have no heat issue anymore. Only telling you this so you don't think I'm trying to kill everything by setting up in an environment that is inhabitable.

I wouldn't worry about a skimmer, but I do think the inverts would have to be fed once in a while.
Plus the fact corals may not fare to well with starving inverts around.

I dont use a skimmer and the water in my 14gal is crystal clear. I did remove the bio-balls and replaced with rock, and created a perfect DIY carbon sack.
Good luck getting work done with a Nano in your office! I used to have my own office and in it I split a 20gal long in half with acrylic and had a blue and red betta, with laterite/sand substrates and java/spiralis. It wasn't as complex as a Nano, but with the 2 different mini-ecoystems (and trying to get those stupid plants to grow), I didn't get a whole lot of work done!!!
good luck
