im getting a 24x12x12 (about 13 gallons) with heater, filter ect included...
Now, i am stuck for options for FW as most of the fish i would like get too big for a 24x12x12.
So, i was thinking, is there any saltwater fish i could keep in a tank of this size?
i would rather have quite a few fish, rather than just one, or just a pair.
I like those yellow tailed damsels, so thats a start...
thanks, and if you could give me a list of what you would put in this tank (common fish, if possiblem and not extremly expensive) rather than just throw names at me...
I will not be wanting any live corals or annenomes...
I am very experienced with freshwater, so i will be able to cope with water changes and i know all about nitrites, nitrates and ammonia content...just thought i would tell you that before you saw the tank is too small for anything, and there is no chance of me getting a bigger tank, as i have no room.
Thanks loads
James :)

First off welcome. You do have a small tank, but you could still use it as a salt water tank. However sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you will not be able to keep more then two fish in there, definitely not more then one damsels. They will be dead in a matter of days. That tank is too small.

I have a little 7.5 gallon semi-reef set up, and i have a perc clown, a very little bicolor blennie (these guys are fun to watch) and a couple of small colorful clown gobies, one yellow and one green. I think its really neat to have these little fish in a little tank, because if they were in a tank any bigger, you would never see them!
