new to saltwater

i just bought a new light and put on 125 gallon tank and i have long green alge growing ever were i put a sea hear in the tank trying to clean it up but it died does anyone no what i should do

you should find out what is causing this algae to grow.
It sounds like this is a new tank? So it could be cycling...(which you shouldnt add any livestock)
What are your water parameters?

Is your tank by a window? Are your parmenters all right? How old is the tank? Any livestoke? RO water? And, welcome to the boards!!!
