Does he dig in the sand a lot? Or just hang out on the rocks?
Mostly he's been under a piece of LR. I was amazed to see him swimming around, so I ran and got my camera to get a couple of pics.
I've only had him since Monday. My boyfriend got him and a fairy wrasse for me to replace my dead Dory (alas, crushed by collapsing LR after we re-aquascaped). He got a good deal when he traded in my evil purple lobster:)
(BTW, Neither are in the tank with the xmas wrasse. I moved that guy to my aggressive FOWLR which houses only my ghost eel now.)
I like these mellow little fish. They're really fun to watch!

What are his requirments?? kind of food??? much LR?
I was told the requirmements are similar to jawfishes. So, they need a sand bed deep enough to burrow under, and live rock for a cave....and little pices of rubble to help construct the cave. As for food, it eats everything my other fish eat, but like my other jawfish, I have to direct food toward his cave, or he'll just sit there.

Do you have or plan to aquire a pistol shrimp for him to relate to? That combo is one of the coolest symbiotic relationships in the ocean.

Those fish are awsome. I wonder if you could keep one of those with a Bi-Color Blennie and they get along?

No problems with my lawnmower blennie. I don't have a royal gramma.
