newbi with questions

OK i have had my 29 set up for 11 days now, diatoms everywhere, starting to cycle. My questions are should i change the carbon filter and should i do a water change now? Im pretty sure i should wait until its over to change the filter and a water change, correct? Just trying to make sure i do this right. thanks

so just take out all the chambers and make a refugium? I dont need any filtration? Can i just leave the baffles in there and make the middle the refug. or will that not work. either way it sounds like im going to have a busy weekend.

i took out everything from my tank. and just place chemipure in the 3rd chamber, chaeto with light in the middle chamber. and purigen in the first chamber. the 3rd chamber is were the pump is
