Leathers are always a nice starting coral, mushrooms, star and button polyps. Look for a good Sarcophyton I think you will enjoy it.

Blue mushrooms, hardy and can do okay under almost any light

I dont know if its typical, but I have a colt tree that Ive had since about 2 weeks after my tank was set-up (a friend convinced me my tank was ready...

) It has done very well and it now about 8-9 inches tall and about 7 inches wide when the arms are stretched. It SEEMS hardy to me, but I'd go along with the mushrooms as nice and hardy

colts are easy and adapt to just about any lighting scheme but do better under higher light IMO
but shrooms and most all leathers zoanthid polyps. they are all good choices.
