newbie getting stupid

oh my gosh I just had a brutal desire to thop up a fewe mushrooms to make many tiny ones "frags " but how big does the piece have to be? and how bout the mushrooms how big do they have to be? acn you frag them all? see i have 3 pretty ones and I'd like tons of mini ones
to grow up and be many mini ones.
just a question.am I addicted to this tank? see I run home from work and just stare at it and dream, and watch my fishies, and my critters till my eyes close. I have woke up asleep on the glass front am I really just a nut instead? ive just bien wondering. the jury is out on this one.... I work on a psych ward and one shrink has said great stress relief and the other offered to commit me! can anyone relate?

but you do realize that they place fish tanks in mental hospitals to calm down patients.

I think your doing what so many other newbies do...your out of contol. The best advice I have is to not buy one more living thing for the tank for 3 months. Read, read and when you think your done reading read some more.

Haha, I've stared into my tank for unusual amounts of time (like the rest of us) but I have yet to fall asleep in front of it. I cant imagine the horror my fish would experience with my unconcious face pressed on the steamed up (and drooled on) glass. Maybe my compassion for the little guys is whats kept me from doing that.

As for the 'shroom fragging, I think there is a good thread somewhere in here that explains (with pics) on how to do such a thing. I dont think they need to be very big to frag, maybe at least the size of a dime? I probably wouldnt cut it smaller than half a dime. Make sure you do it in a seperate container or the slime will foul the tank. Apparently they slime a lot when you cut them.
You can try to frag a 'shroom by placing a rubber band around it and the rock its on. It will naturally split under the pressure. There are other methods out there but I like these two for their own reasons.
