Hi everyone. At present I keep freshwater fish (mainly SA & African cichlids) but I have decided to add a saltwater setup to my collection. I have a 6ft 135gal all glass tank that I indend on using and a canister filter (on layby) and will gradually be buying other bits of necessary equipment over the next couple of months.
Until I have finished buying all the equip I need, I will continue to read every page of material that I can get my hands on and ask lots of questions.
So I hope you don't mind me asking a lot of what might seem like dumb questions, but I have heard that the dumbest question is the one you don't ask. :D

WELCOME!!!! You have found the BEST board there is for saltwater fish info..The sharks are very noligable(spelling) and very helpful..as is everyone else(helpful I mean). If you post a question and don't recieve a answer in a timely manner you can always do a search. With it being summer time I've noticed the board is a little slower then when its cold outside.A little WARNING! Once you have your saltwater tank set up, you don't think of too much else, Freshys are nice but saltwater is the most awesome hobby there is...(for pets)And remember in this hobby take it slow and easy, you get best results that way. Lots of Luck to you. Happy Reefen! Later Lisa :D

Hi Aus! I was new about 1 1/2 months ago, and gee, have we ever learned alot here. We have Freshwater and a 5 1/2 gallon salt tank, and will be setting a 125 or larger tank very soon. I wanted to try a small tank for stsrters, but the LFSs said go larger. There have been no problems with our little tank, but we're so addicted we HAVE to go bigger! Looking forward to see how it goes for you. Good luck!
