Hey guys hows it going? I am new to the forum and saltwater world. My tank was started on 11/20/05.
-20 gallon high
-aqua c remora skimmer
-135w pc coralife
-aquaclear 50 ph
~22-25 lbs of lr
-20 lbs of ls
this pic is about 10 days after startup

This is about a month

This is tonite, exuse the cloudiness, i got some new lr and coral so its kinda cloudy.

Can anyone id this coral for me? its a hard coral...if that helps i know its a crappy pic

Looks like your off to a great start, nice work!
The coral is a Pavona decussatus, common name Cactus coral.

I'm a newbie too so please don't ake offense to this, but is it right to be putting hard corals in a tank thats only 6 weeks old at best?

I wouldn't recommend it for such a young tank. Move your little guy up higher on the rocks for more light and also more flow.
