hi. ive done some searching and cant find any info on what is going on in my tank. i have a 42 hex with a nice big chunk of live rock in it and a variety of shells. im running an overflow to a sump with a large skimmer and wed-dry.
i think i might have a mantis shrimp because ive lost three hermits and a six line wrasse in the last month. i have pristine water and good feeding. everything has seemed very happy and then these critters just up and dissapeared. mantis? sounds likeit.
but. last night i did some looking around and i noticed a long tube extended from one of the holes in my liverock down to the bottom of the tank. when i popped the lights back on, it shriveled up back into the hole. when i turned the lights back off, it came out again very slowly.
anybody have insight? are these separate issues?
