Your tank is Very nice...
I use Live sand and also crushed LR in my tank
I dont have a underground filter though...I heard that they are ALOT more trouble than they are worth...My tank is a 55gl and I have a Fluval 404 and a Whisper 60 for filtration, I believe you can never have enough of that...I also have a Berlin Turbo jet Skimmer and 3 powerheads for good water movement...
Do you think that is a good combo and good for a mainly reef system??
Thanks Susie

is it a reef, or going to be a ref, or jsut a fish only, and your aragonite, is it crushed coral or the sand, both come in aragonite, and cc(crushed coral) is not the best to have, and with a ugf, sand is not going to work, and i would not use a wet dry on a reef set up
if it is aragonite SAND(fine grained), then i would leave it be,
and you can over do it with filters, too many waste traps, is more places to harbor and trap waste, which can become nitrate factory later on
HTH and welcome aboard
