My niger has eaten every single thing that went into the tank (as far as food). Pellets, 3 kinds of flake, live brine, dried brine, frozen brine, silversides, mussels, dried bloodworms, frozen bloodworms. He nips at the hermits, but has yet to eat one. He will suck in bristle worms and spit them back out. He bites at my fingers when I let him. He is super cool and a blast to play with. I swear there are small chunks missing from one of my shrooms. He didn't seem to like the Ocean nutrition W/garlic so I mixed it with the flakes he did like, and presto...he eats it (same with tomato clown). You might try dipping the food in the water to wet it then roll it in the flakes he likes and letting it soak up the flavor (like fried chicken batter). Let it set a while then see if he'll eat it. After a few days wean him from the flake till he eats them separately. Good luck....let us know what works for you.
