niger trigger growth

If I go get one of the tiny cute niger triggers (3-5 inches), how fast will he mature?
Im planning my tank and Im looking (72 gal)
2 perc clowns, niger, yellow tang, mandarin (next year w/rock growth)

i would say it depends on how you feed him. if you pump him with food 2 to 3 times a day. he should doouble his size in a year. and he may be like my pink tail.........just wont eat alot. then he will grow alot slower. make sure he has a good diet. you want to be concerned with his size as well and most important his health. you want him to be a nice vivrant blue. sorta glowing. zoe vitamin. stay away from stuff like goldfish. krill and brine hrimp. maybe even blood worms every blue moon. green stuff also. formula 2 is good. just mix i up a little. but most of all vitamins. it makes a BIG difference in the way they look and they way grow. he will live longer also.

When I got my niger, he was about 3", I fed him once a day, 5-6 days a week. He grew approx 1-1.5" in a hear and a half.

Doh!
I found a nice juvanile trigger for $20 at Zoos Pets, but he has a white speck on his back and another on his side. I didnt want to buy him until I asked you guys what this could be. I didnt think it was ick since there were only 2 spots. Any ideas?

Not sure what the specs are. Mine had a white speck from time to time on its dorsal fine. Never seemed to affect him though. Keep an eye on it, ask the LFS to hold it for you for a couple of days, see how it does.
