Probably fine for a while, till he puts on some size, 6"+, then you'll probably start seeing some dissappear. Clams, starfish, small fish, then cleaner shrimp (if at all) would be guess for MIA order.
If you want a trigger, get one of the Xanthichthys species.

I have a 3.5-4 inch Niger trigger in my 180 gallon mixed reef, got him since he was 2-2.5 inches long. I have clams, starfish, shrimp, hermits, several clown gobies, ect, ect, he does touch a THING! My key is to keep him VERY WELL fed. If you keep him very well fed, he shouldn't touch anything. Good luck!

Good luck with the Trigger I just hade to take half of my 265 apart to get my pink tail out. He was about 4 inches long and he was a hog. I tried to keep him fed but he started nipping at my montipora, and everything he could get his mouth around. He didnt mess with the hermits, shrimp, or small fish though. But that was a pink tail not a niger. Sometimes you get a bad egg. The guys at my LFS said that the best ones to get are the Blue throat or a cross hatch. I dont trust any of them anymore. JMO. %%

I had one in a reef never touched any corals or inverts, BUT I could not add any more fish to my tank, he would kill them right away and he was about 5 inches long.

Actually, if I had to pick one, I'd say the Sargassum Trigger is probably the best (safest) choice
