Hi I'm new here but been in the hobby a while. I have just gotten a triggerfish and I put him in my sons tank it's is only a few months old over night something happen cloudy water and on his side not moving and gasping I thought to be honest that was the end of him anyway I took him out and put him into my tank which is a reef tank he's doing OK but every now and then he is sitting on my cuculation out pipes and I think napping is this normal or is he still unwell he is eating and swimming normal when he's not napping also not ammiona in my sons tank nor nitrite or nitrate so I think it was an algae bloom and wiped out the oxygen

They will hide and sleep. Thats normal, out in the open generally they won't. They prefer protection while they sleep

OK so he's hiding between my circulation pump and my flipper tucking himself between the too so he sounds OK now
