nintendo ds or the psp?

yes. But the DS has a touch screen and has more battery life and cost 150. The psp you need a memory card and it has a very VERY low battery life and it cost 300. so pick wisely

anything that turns a disc is gonna burn lots of juice until they get it figured out. i had the original game boy back in 89 and that thing ate through batteries.
