nipped fins????

if a fish gets its fins nipped by another fish do they ever get them back?

depending on how bad and healthy the fish is, if its just a split fin then i have sen them back to normal in just 1 day, if the fin is all the way gone and only a nub left its going to take like 2 months, if that nub is gone that part of the fin will not grow back and the fish is forever handycapped
