I wouldn't add anything to my tank unless I could test for it. 20 isn't that bad. Just do a water change. You may need to do regular water changes untill you get more lr.

Yeah how often are you doing water changes? When you do you water changes are you using tap water, RO/DI water or distilled water from another source??? If your doing frequent regular water changes you might want to test your water change water and see what the parameters are of that water before you add it to the tank

I bought a second hagen filter so I could run a phosphate reducer {seacem phosguard}
and a nirtate reducer caled {kent marine nitrate sponge}by runing the other filter with this media I now have more watter flow .
but the main reason to reduce the nitrate and phosphate.
my phosphate is always zero now and my nitrate never goes above 5
also along with this is I clean both canister filters twice a week by rinsing the media with my hand from the watter that was in the canister then I throw away the watter. I noticed that when rinsing them with my hand the watter turns to a creamy white to a dark brown.
this is the silicate and phosphates and nitrates build up that I rinse away.

get some macro alge form your LFS. they eat it and will bring your trates down eventualy, but more importantly keep it there
