Water changes using what type of water?
How are you mixing and adding the water change?
What is your filtration and flow rate? include all pumps moving water in the main tank like power heads.
In short it sounds like you have a nutrient/ low water movment problem.
Thomas.
Do not add mollies, Do not add plants yet, Do not add Tap water.

I am adding reverse osmosis salt water that comes from a salt water machine at a well respected fish store. I have a 30 gal tall with a eclipse 2 so that creates water flow i also have a rio 600. The problem began when i came home from australia after a freind was taking care of the tank. I will brush off the algae with a tooth brush and remove it from the tank and within 2 days the same amount will grow back.

Looks like some good advice, but I would have to say NO on a Kole Tang unless you are planning on getting a much larger tank real soon.
