it's probly 0.... i mean.. they have a crazy bio-load.. but!!!! they also have the best filter system you cant!!!! get.. they have a super sand bed.. live rocks.. skimmer, lot's and lot's of clean up crews.. and clean up crews for those cewan uo crew.. and so on.. and pluss.. for the amount of life in the ocean compared to the ocean is nothing!!! i mean!!! it is huge!!!!!!!!!

Its the fricken' ocean, it can do what ever it wants! Including having 0 nitrates. But really consider the amount of gas exchange and total volume of water, comparitivly I bet the bio-load is fairly low.

i think the oceans nitrates stay low, because waves are always moving and crashing, which is sorta like a water change. Tho thats just me.

waves moving is not a water change... waves moving are powerheads and it's skimmer is when the waves crash to the shore.. dont u notice the scum foam on the beach??

Relative to what we do with or tanks "stocking wise"...there is relatively Very Little bioload in MOST of the ocean...
If we didn't stock a much as we do, we wouldn't have Nitrate problems either..
