i bought a protein skimmer made by red sea, the berlin turbo,before the protein skimmer my nitrate levels would range around
30 ppm, now my nitrates hang around 15. In my 75 gallon tank. I have 4 fish and a sifting star fish and 60 lbs of live rock. my intention is to have a reef tanks to house corals. The fish will go into another tank, I am amazed how the nitrates have been dropping, my question that I am asking, how is nitrates, When you have corrals, Do they produce, alot of waste to where they would raise nitrates, in all of my reading, you what to get nitrates as close to zero as possible.
