I am cycling my tank with live rock and live sand, i also have a plant inside too called (halomeda) unsure of spelling please correct me. Do i have to worry about water changes while it is cycling? just checked a few parameters and they are:
PH-8.6
NH3,NH4+(ammonia)-0.0
PH is high and i need to check nitrites.
Should i do a water change.
Should my plant be ok during the cycle?

I'm of the school that says do not do water changes during a cycle, though there are a few exceptions to this.
Can't tell you if your plant will be ok as I have never put one into a cycling tank.
How many days, has your tank been cycling?

I wouldn't do a water change during the cycle either. I have found it leads to an unsteady amount of microbes after you think your tank is finished cycling, and often you see another spike in ammonia and trites a week after adding something new. I would think your plant would do fine assuming it is like most other plants that prefer nutrient rich water.
