Nitrite HELP PLEASE

Ohhhh no! My nitrite bounced up to 2.0 and i have no idea what to do. All that changed is we took of 1 filter and put it on a diffrent tank(30 gallon). We have a bak pak 2 and 2 powerheads in the 55. I put the aquaclear 500 back on the 55 and put 1 of the powerheads in the 30. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO.....HELP HELP HELP

Taking off one filter will certainly cause that. Put the filter back on and get your 30gal its own filter.
