NM Reef - (Just to wste your time)

I saw your sand was white and someone told me it was aragonite. Is it? I'm going to go from CC to LS soon, and wanted to try and get some WHITE sand.

You can get get southdown at HD in Mass. It is the same as oldcastle.

Not a waste of my time at all...my sand is a combination of 150 lbs of southdown and 120 lbs of caribsea Sea flor grade sand...all aragonite...but I believe it stays "white" due to the diversity of my micro infauna...pods and worms and snails and crabs and such.

Exactly what NM said, any sand could be white or clean with the right "diversity of my micro infauna...pods and worms and snails and crabs and such" along with good parameters. It will depend on that, my tank is 2 years old and it's not a clean sandbed---I envy all who do have this.
