I have a 45 gallon tank with 27 pounds of live rock. Currently I am using a wet/dry system. My skimmer doesn't pull anything out of the water. It makes a mess and doesn't seem to work well. I was wondering if I could use a prizm skimmer along with the live rock as a filter and get rid of the wet/dry? 
I have about 2 to 3 inches of crushed coral on the bottom of the tank. Also I am knew to salt water tanks and was wondering if there was a list somewhere of all the acronyms that are used on the BB?
