NO bulbs with Icecap 660 VHO?

My question is....I plan on gitting a IceCap 660 ballast, Would it be OK to use NO bulbs and endcaps for a few months until I can afford some VHO bulbs. All of my NO bulbs are under a month old, so They should be OK for a while. Has any one tried this?

I may be wrong, but i think they would overheat and burn out. Like plugging a 110volt appliance into a 220volt power supply. It may even dammage your new ballast. I'd call the manufacturer. STEVE

I e-mailed iceCap about a month ago, they told me that the Ballast would work with the NO bulbs. He said they may burn out a little faster, but that was expected. I just wondered if any one else has tried this.

you can use NO bulbs in a VHO ballast but, remember it doesn't work the other way around
