no filter?

we were thinking about trying to set up a massive 220 or 265 gallon tank around spring/summer in addition to ours right now, we need a reef and aggressive, cuz we're beginning to worry about murders in our tank that may happen soon.
anyway, if we go for the 265, can we put in a ton of live rock, how many pounds do you think??? and some live sand mixed with southdown, lots of circulation and be done. I have been wanting to try the Berlin system and have no filter or skimmer to mess with.. it would be light bioload and reef setup.
Suggestions? Thoughts? Possible? Thanks all!!! :)

Definitly with about 265 to 350 pounds of live rock and a 4-6 inch DSB. How much is a light bioload? I like the idea have having a skimmer just in case. If you don't want a skimmer maybe you could do a large refugium with a DSB and lots of Calupera macroalgea for nutrient export.

thanks mlm.
we are tryin to make this low-maintenance cuz the 90g is enough work, but another tank i think is good to have because of the reef/aggressive setups. that is a lot of rock, i guess we could do a skimmer. thanks
also, can we use a lot of southdown and then say 50 pounds of live sand to seed it? it would be in there with the live rock and just sand for at least a month or two until it got much else. think that would work?
