No Hair Algae!!

is it a good sign if your tank has been running for over 6 months and i have no hair algae?
i have 2 clowns and a brain coral in my 60gal along with hermit crabs and a blood shrimp

That's a very good sign! The first 6 months in all of the tanks I've had setup seems to be the timeframe that hair algae would prosper the most.

I had lots of hair algae. I tried everything... No lights for 3 days, feeding alittle less, more frequent water changes, etc. etc... Finally I broke down and bought Red Slime remover. In less than 48 hours all the hair algae was gone! It didnt effect any of my levels and the algae has been gone for over a week now! :jumping:
