my large hermit crab with an anemone on its back molted earlier today, however i have no larger replacement shelll for it in the tanl... will the mernit survive the nite withour a replacement shell?

They are quite vulnerable w/o a shell. Depending on what you have in the tank, it might be killed. Go to your lfs or even a craft outlet, which usually carry assorted shells for cheap. Wash them well and drop them in.
