No Yellow in a Yellow-eyed Tang

My yellow-eyed tang has lost its color. This occurred gradually over a six month time period. All the water data seem to be correct. I have recently started feeding him seaweed. Will this help? He is active and has a healthy appetite. One other damsel, two clowns, two star fish, and a shrimp are all doing fine. What am I doing wrong.

My yellow eye tang turns pale when it gets scared and when the lights turn on. I would keep feeding him the seweed with it soaked in zoe or zoecon.
