Nocturnal Kenya

I bought a new Kenya Tree frag last Saturday. It's not opened since but the color is good, etc. Last night I was up at 3am and looked in on it and it was fully open! It was all plumped up and standing up tall. This morning it's closed up again. Are Kenya's nocturnal? Could my lights be too much? I only have 130w PC's and the Kenya is 1/3 of the way from the bottom.
One other thing.. it's still rubber banded to the rock, think it'd be ok to take the rubber band off now? The LFS banded it for me so it's been there since Saturday.

nope, not nocturnal. probably just getting adjusted to your tank. you can tank the band off when it is attached. takes longer sometimes than others, but should be good after a week or so.
