Nocturnal snails became diurnal

I have about a half dozen snails in my tank that were nocturnal while I had a trigger fish, dogface puffer and several other safer fish.
I recently got rid of all of them in favor of more peaceful, reef safe species and I noticed that the snails have become active during the day.
Have you seen the same?

the snails most likely were nocturnal while you had those other fish because the triggers might mess with them and possibly the same with the puffers and now that you dont have them the snails are now more comfortable with their surroundings and are safer
