Noisy pump

I just started up my CL system and it seems kind of noisy--like the washing maching going. I am using a mag 24 resting on a mouse pad for cushion and the intake is using 1" with the output going to 3 1" locklines. I know getting all the initial air out will help but it still seems kind of loud. Is it just the pump is that way???

it shouldn't make much noise at all except for the pump motor. mine is completely quiet.

Hmmm, well mine is louder than that and is producing microbubbles... I cant seem to find the source of the bubbles??

whe we got our sump done we got a mag 24 the pump was so loud you couln't sleep and had tons of microbubbles going to the Dt we took the mag24 back got the mag18 and you barly hear it run and and fixed the bubble problem too. the mag 24 was returning water to fast and the bubbles had to time to settle i don't know if your CL is haveing the same problem but might be something to think about.our tank is a 125 with a 50 gal sump. but the mag 24 was way to loud and when we took it back the to lfs we was looking through the new order book he has and they have discontinued the mag 24

Very interesting, I guess I am looking for a new pump then..

Anyone have a suggestion for a pump for a closed loop on a 150? There is a 1" pvc flow to the pump and a 1" going back with 3 outlets..
