Non-invasive Aptasia Control

Sorry if this has been brought up before as I am sure it has, but I had a customer come in and tell me he was using a concentrated Kalwasser mix injected into aptasia to kill it. Anyone ever try this? Or have a better recomendation for non-invasive aptasia control? (minus the peppermint shrimp/copperband solution, or other injectibles i.e. Joes Juice)

I've heard of this being used and saw a guy at one store using it. It was really amazing! Within 10 minutes tops they were shrivelled up and free floating dying! I don't know what it does to your tank good or bad but I can say it does kill aptasia!

I have heard and also tried this method works ok for I prefer joes juice which workes everytime where as kalk mix did not.

None of these choices has worked for me everytime. The best was Joes juice however it killed an entire colony of Blastos that was nearby and is not 100% safe for some delicate corals! Worst thing about it was the stupid aptasia came back
Be careful with that stuff-turn off powerheads and try not to use to much, Carrie

boil some water in the microwave and draw some up in a baster and blast the sucker.
works great and cools off fast enought that it wont hurt nearby corals. anything directly in the path however if about to be cooked. works perfect for me . i dont have any pest anemones however i use it on new foral rocks that come with them on it

ive always had good luck with B ionic #2 wich is calcium, its a low dose but it does kill it. ive also tried this stuff called stop aptasia, it didnt do jack in fact i think it made them grow faster. but the cureall for me was 8 peppermint shrimp for a 90g.

Was going to say i bought 10 P shrimp on this site and even thought they are little guys they killed every aptasia in my tank in two days. Them dudes are awsome. Now I just feed them mysis, brine and cyclopezze. They are doing great
