Hello To all The wonderfull People out there in aqualand.First of all I would like To say how happy I am to learn so much from all of you about swf, I am new to this hobby and I would gladly welcome any help in setting up my new tank.All the lfs around here have diffrent opinions on how to set my swf tank , all i got so far is a fluval 404 canister filter, an Emperor 400 bio filtration filter,and a visa threm deluxe heatr made by marineland,I also have 40 lbs of live sand in a 55 gallon tank still waiting for it to cycle about 3 weeks into cycling period oh 3 dead shrimps at the bottom forgot those. My question is wether I started on the right track and about skimmers? Im looking at a Turboflotor 1000 multi skimmer made by Berlin it can be put in a sump or as a hang on whats best? also what about uv sterilizers Im looking at a turbo twist uv will it help all this? to get my tank going in the right track? Any help will be greatly appriciated before a start spending money on things I dont need . Thanx All.
