Hey all, i just dropped some dry seaweed into my tank, i rubberbanded it to a rock that i had in the tank, also added some garlic juice, it seems as though my clown is scared of it, is this normal, and should i leave the lights on or off, also i wanted to make sure that the dry seaweed wasnt bad for the water??? will it deteriorate??? and how long should i leave it in there before i remove it?

I have read to remove it anywhere from 2 hours to 8 hours. Snails, crabs, and shrimp like the nori in my tank but my clown as never touched it.

If you are feeding it to the clown, it may never eat it. Clownfish are carnivores mostly, so feeding it algae based foods is not a food of choice.
Nori is usually fed to tangs or other herbivores.
Try mysis, or formula one pellet, flake, or frozen preferably.

Clowns are omnivores. Keep the lights dim and only add a small amount at a time to see if he eats it. Remove any uneaten portion after a few hours.
