Dunno, My son is stationed in South Korea until the end of summer. And I thought it was better than going back to Afghanistan.

WMay not be getting much attention here, but its all over every other site I visit.
When I say attention I guess I am referring to news and political blogs/pundits. I see more talk about drone usage, sequester, and so on and jack crap about this. Even our President has basically stated it is not important. This has the potential to a bigger economic crash than the last global crash.

I think it's mostly because it's North Korea. They call wolf so often it's pretty hard to take them seriously. Especially now that their big brother China is even starting to distance themselves. The real losers in this are the people of North Korea. They are brainwashed so early and often, that they probably believe what is told to them. It's a shame really.

I think China would sit back and watch if NK does anything stupid and we respond. They are getting tired of this inbred family of retards stirring things up too.

It puts China in a very precarious position. On one hand, they are growing very tired of North Korea and their crap. On the other hand, if North Korea were to fall, it would probably return to a unified Korea, with the South taking the North once again. If that were to happen, then that means the US now has access to a shared border of China, which China would absolutely want to avoid. What to do, what do to...

The north is going to fall at some point anyway. If it happens as an act of war there will be a lot fewer people to feed if you know what I mean.

I have always said, and maintain it is still the case, that North Korea does nothing it does without the full blessing of China. PDRK 's supposed insanity and threats helps China retain it's stronger position in Asia-Pacific by being the "good guy" and builds the image of the country that keeps PDRK in check, while it is actually the main catalyst for the instability it purports to reject. In other words, PDRK only acts on Beijing's orders. China will thwart any and all attempts to reign in PDRK because they are able to influence global policy using triangulation. But it is all smoke and mirrors. China wants instability and a "crazy cousin". It takes the negative spotlight off of their militant ambitions-just read every single 5 and ten year plan their communist party has prepared for over 30 years. They are communists and no matter how much lipstick they put on it, a pig is a pig.
