Not another immigration thread

Classic. This woman writes to the President asking to help with her husband's immigration problems. She married the guy who was under a deportation order afterward and needs to have the case reviewed so the guy can be granted residency.
The Obama administration ordered ICE to resolve the case immediately. They showed up and arrested the guy.

It sounds like he will get to stay, at least I hope he does. He had filed for asylum and was denied after getting married which resulted in a deportation order. At least he tried to do it right.

Oh man, I wanted to have a light hearted thread and you done went and put something too important to ignore in here.

That to me is an outrage. If the Obama administration is actually going to use it's resources to aid illegals who are being paid below minimum wage rather than deport them? I think that is treason.

Every day I come closer to thinking it would be best for all involved if we just invaded Mexico and created the 51st through 54th states. The Mexican government could shut those cartels down if they really wanted too. They could keep most of the illegals out of our country if they really wanted too.

Doing this would essentially ruin us. I hear this tossed around a lot. But diue to the way things are in that country, our "drug war" would escalate to heights never seen on U.S. streets. Our economy would probably tank do to certain goods increasing in price. Our govenment social syustem would become overwhelmed. And our deficit over time would become unsustainable....well...more so than it is now.

Dunno, there is a lot of natural resource production that is supporting the aristocratic government down there. Not saying it would be a great idea but if we are going to be supporting them anyway...... I also believe we could put a serious dent in the drug cartels.

Problem is, you'd kill half the major manufacturing industries in the US doing it. I know of at least three that have plants down in the mexico border towns along the Texas border. Why? Because they pay the line workers $8/DAY. You think a new Mexican/US citizen would accept that wage?

Even better give Texas, New Mexico and Arizona to Mexico since there are mostly illegals in these states anyways. Nobody will miss these 3 states.

Yeah but your way is the republican way, go to war with whoever we want. The good old republican way, it's worked in the past, right? I mean look at Iraq, still fighting that war for no reason. President Eisenhower(REPUBLICAN) at the start of the Vietnam war. Yeah that war ended great for the USA. Republican way : If you don't like what we say, we'll go to war with you.

Ike gave the South some aid and a few advisers. Saint John of Kennedy (Democrat)was the one who placed the first troops there, but nice try.
As far as the Republican way I figure most Republicans would have sense enough to comprehend I wasn't seriously suggesting we invade Mexico.

Typical liberal illogic, "I'm too scared to defend what is ours. Let's just surrender some territory. Then they'll leave us alone." In a broad and non-specific way let me say, liberals are cowards who try to hide their cowardice with platitudes of "inclusion" and "tolerance" when what they mean is they're too d@mned gutless to stand for anything but giving up.

Saw an article in the paper this morning about these two Arizona women throwing a garage sale in front of their house. They were complaining they had to move because they were afraid of how this new immigration bill would affect them that was coming into law next week. Seems they are in this country ILLEGALLY, and they have to move 'somewhere else' so they didn't have to worry about getting deported. They said they were UPSET because they had to take their kids out of the SCHOOL they loved, lose the jobs they had, and had to move away from all their other ILLEGAL neighbors. The article said there were at least 20 'For Rent' signs up and down the street. The article even had a picture of these two women. HELLO? Uh, where are the Feds? Why aren't they driving over to this neighborhood and picking these people up? A local news outlet can walk up to their house, have them flat out admit they are here illegally, put their faces in a NATIONAL NEWS ARTICLE, and the authorities do nothing. And Washington wonders why Arizona passed their own immigration law.

LOL! Great point.
At least DEA uses their heads. A guy was on the news here braging about the size of his "medical" MJ grow operation. About a week later he was whining because the DEA came in and cracked him.

I mean how stupid are people? These women had better pray Sherrif Joe wasn't reading that article. He's been busting illegals for years. I hope those women relocate to Cal.

+1 All they have to do is get on any highway headed west and they'll be in the promised land.
An article in the Tucson paper the Arizona Daily Lie er Star was crying about how in April the schools in south Tucson had a 20-25% drop in attendance. Just happens to be Raul "If you ain't illegal I don't care" Grijalva's voting base. No wonder he's so opposed to the new law he begged other states to boycott us. He's losing his entire voting block.
