This is a little thing I made in the smoker. Bacon fried up and crumbled inside pork loaf with bacon wrapped around the outside smothered in Sweet baby Rays and smoked for 4 hours or so. Too rich to eat alone but great on sammiches. Going to try it as a meat loaf recipe next time. Smokey bacon BBQ meatloaf.

I gotta try that. Did you put any other seasonings inside? Just ground pork and the crumbled bacon?

Season salt with some brown sugar. Some people throw veggies in. It's called a bacon explosion, there are recipes for them all over the net.
Because you have the bacon explosions afterwards?

I will say, that is some beautiful bacon basket weaving though.
A basket made of bacon... Best easter ever??

Do what I did last night Bacon wrapped Prime rib oven roasted as my Grill had a Meltdown and went BOOM. Seems Propane hoses and Grease do not mix and throw in fire from said grease next thing you know is BANG.

Every thanksgiving it is my duty to smoke the turkey. I stuff it with bacon. Peel back the skin and layer the meat with bacon. Pull the skin back in place. Then wrap the whole bird in bacon. Keep your turducken. This recipe rocks. 20 minuets before it is done i brush the outside with a ghost pepper barbecue sauce called black dahlia mixed with a tad bit of orange juice.

That sounds fantastic. How long does it take to smoke a stuffed bird? I've only smoked non-stuffed turkeys in the past..

I use an orion smoker...takes me about 2.5 hours... When I use the regular smoker I am looking at about 6 to 8 hours depending on the size of the bird.
