NOVA, Calurpa taking over

Did anyone else catch NOVA last night on PBS about the Calurpa Taxifolia (sp?) taking over the Mediteranean Sea? It was quite interesting how fast if was spreading and how destructive it was. It is now spreading to other parts of the world and beginning to choke out native species. And the worst part is that it originally was bread/cultivated in an aquarium then inadvertantly released into the sea.

I missed that show, but will try to catch it in reruns. Tuesday night is for Discovery in our house. FBI files, New Detectives......

They actually found a patch growing in one of California's bays/harbors and had to destroy it. They covered it with a tarp and pumped in the chlorine, eliminating every living thing caught underneath.
