I have a 125 FOWLR. It has standard Flourescent bulbs. The tanks been set-up for a couple years now and the live rock has lost the majority of its purple and better looking color. Rather than adding "Purple Up" I was just thinking about picking up a set of cheap lights. I don't plan to grow corals with them and was hoping they would still make the rock look better. And lighting the aquarium up better.
Any thoughts/suggestions on that light?
Again it's the Nova Extreme X2 T5HO Fixtures, it looks like the 36 inch runs around 59.99 and I would plan on buying two.

The set I looked at said you can lay them directly on the glass canopy, do you think that will be alright?
