Yesterday I bought a six gallon eclipse aquarium.
I had the tank running for about 24 hours and bought a domino damsel today. I had a few questions to ask...
At the store where I bought everything they told me to burry the fish in the sand if it were to die. This would speed up the process of the water becoming just right. Is this a good idea?
What I really want is a clown fish and they told me to wait at least three weeks before I buy one because that's when the water will be good for the fish. They say the tank needs to build bacteria. Should I?
Should I leave the light on twenty-four hours a day? Or turn it off at night?
Thank-you for any replies.

For starting out in saltwater a 6 gallon is a bad idea . The more volume you have the less impact a mistake makes in the ecosystem of your tank. A 30 gallon is about right for starting.
If the fish dies i would remove it. using live sand and/or live rock would be your best bet to biuld up your benificial bactiera in the tank to get rid of the unwanted waste.
If your going to go with the 6 gallon get a small 4-5 pound live rock. but in all honesty a fish cant be happy with that small of a tank.
Lighting should be on a 10-12 hour cycle.
