Nutri seawater

So I've heard nothing but positive things about using nutri seawater when doing water changes. Is there any down side outside of price??

If you can afford it to do water changes, and all parameters are within specs, there is no downside. The advantage to investing in an decent RO/DI unit, besides having pure water for top-offs, making your own saltwater is a more cost-effective method for water changes. Having filtered water to drink is an added bonus, too. It's all a out the Benjamins... lol! Just my 2c...

Hi,

I agree with Pegasus, it's lots cheaper to mix your own seawater. I know it kind of feels like a scary thing to do, but believe me it's really easy. After just a few times, you will kind of automatically know how much salt mix to get the SG right in the ball park of what you want.

Getting your own 5 stage filtering unit is the best way to go.

I've been using a Typhoon III (I think) from AirWaterIce for many years, and it has worked flawlessly. Their support is also outstanding - the built in tds meter failed a few months ago and they sent me a new one without any questions.
