NY NJ area Reef Clubs

There is one on Long Island. Also We just had a Nano-Reef meeting in NYC at the corner St Bistro in SoHo Manhattan. The weekend of Haloween.
Im in Albany NY, ther is RPI college Union aquarium club.
its a huge tank 400 gal. TONS of fish.
I'LL Join...... I always have frags, LR and LS and funky equipment fer sale/trade.
a LFS in albany is in the process of setting up Monthy Swap meetings. Should be interesting considering I hate the store LOL.

I live in central newyork and i haven't heard of any of these clubs. How are the salwater fidh store down in albany?

im in north jersey. on reef central there is the new jersey reefers club. i just found it and wish that more people would get involved on that forum. it is the only forum ive found that is dedicated to local reefers and it is so much easier to buy,sell or trade things locally. you can save alot of money if you dont have to ship and you also get to meet new people and see what is working for them and what is not. we really should get some people together and do some order pooling. im sure we could get some good deals on things if we could buy in bulk and ship everything to one place. once i find a new warehouse for my business i would be willing to recieve and store evrything there. im in the wholesale clothing business and hate to pay retail for anything. when i see the jeans i make for ECKO sell for 49.99 in the stores it makes me sick since i know they are only paying me 8.00 for them. its the same feeling when i go to the lfs and see io salt sold at 80.00 per 200 gal bucket and a wimpy frag of xenia sold for 90.00.

Ive worked in multiple NJ LFS's im going to go check out that board and get involved INFLATION is crazy so id love to get healthy quality stuff :eek:

i dont have any jeans right now, but when i open my new warehouse ill have some. i actually am making the perfect jeans for reefers. they are water resistant. the brand name is jeep(yes, like the car). check them out on j.c. pennies website.
