I just had to share everything that happened this weekend. 1st I took friday off to go salmon fishing. Best day ever. I chartered a boat and there where 20 of us fishing. The weather was perfect, and the fish where biting. The wife and I caught 12 salmon. A few people on the boat weren't happy as they caught nothing. We had to give away the extras as the limit is 2 per person. Then when we get home there was an unexpected check in the mail for $1500 from refinancing our house. Then today my partner called and is seting up a trip to hawaii the 1st week of august. We'll be completing our scuba training in Hawaii instead of here in the cold waters of CA. My partner is a dive instructor and spends a couple of weeks a year diving around the islands. Just had to share. I'll get to see whats in my tanks in their natural habitat.
There are some great hard-coral reefs all around Hawaii, but I hear they are better around Oahu and the older islands (the NW Hawaiian islands). I would get a book or two off amazon.com if I were you before you go so you can learn what to look for when you are there.
