Oceanic Trickle Filter???

Anyone have one of these or used one in the past? My sis found one at a yard sale for $5!!! Some parts are missing like the baffles (if that's what is supposed to be in the slots) and the skimmer doesn't look complete, but I'll just use mine. She is letting me use it to get my 125 going. My plan is to use it while I tear down the 55 and turn it into the sump/refuge. So my ? is can I use it with just the the bioballs and my skimmer?

I also have one like yours. Mine also is missing two of the baffles and the lid. There isn't much info out there on these filters.
I going to make a lid for mine.But as far as the baffles go.I think I'm going to mod some old hang on filter inserts for the baffles.

Honestly I'd ditch worrying about the lid....Not important IMO.....As far as the baffles could easily be made, but not entirely sure if I'd like it how it's setup....I'd also ditch the bio balls......
