Octo NW-150 help

I have been having problems with my NW-150 protein skimmer since it was new about 1-month ago. When it was first installed it would not make bubbles and the pump sounded funny, so while I was troubleshooting I blew air into the air line and it started up. Now, every time I unplug it, I have to do the same thing to get it to work again. Does anyone else have this problem? It is a PIA to crawl underneath the stand and blow into the air tube.
Also I cannot find photos of my particular model. Every photo of a NW-150 looks different than the one I have. Mine is a 6" diameter straight tube (no coupler) and the top just sits on. Do they have several versions of this skimmer out?

Like this? That's the funnel neck octo. What pump do you have? If it's the funnel neck you got the octopus pump. Did you mesh it? You shouldest be having start up issues with the stock needle wheel impeller, if it's the octopus pump. If it's the sicce it would have came with 2 impeller. One mesh, one needle wheel. If you are having problems with restart and that's a major issue for you, then switch to the needle wheel. You'll lose some performance, but it will still skim very well. If you meshed the octopus pump, then your going to have to play around with it till you get it right.
