Octo tank diary

Well the tank is almost ready for my first octo and I think I am ready as well. This tank has been running for about 5-6 months now so there should be an abundance of pods. I still plan to add a few more lbs of rock as well as some assorted macro algaes. I am hoping to buy a skimmer within the next few weeks so that I can octoproof the top and order either an O. Joubini or O. Mercatoris. In about August, if all goes well I will be buying a 75 or 90 gallon tank so that I can get a Bimac. I plan to update this thread regularly so that any others who are trying to do the same thing will be able to learn from it. I also plan to switch the current lights with red ones. Anybody who has already been doing this, your input would be appreciated. I know these pictures are the worst but it was the best I could get.
